Sammy is one laid back and loving guy.  Sammy's present foster parents cannot for the life of them figure out why Sammy did not get adopted from the local animal shelter prior to having his time expire and needing the assistance of our rescue organization.  They describe Sammy as the 'perfect partner' ~ laid back ~ loving ~ well mannered.  Sammy is crate trained, however, he would much rather sleep right next to his best buddy, whomever that may be that day.  Sammy takes turns between his foster mom and dad; each have been fortunate enough to equally receive Sammy's one-on-one attention.  It's Sammy's choice and if it's 'your day' Sammy will be your forever shadow and he will be with you every step of the way throughout the day.  The only hiccup in Sammy's overall disposition is if you have small children who may not open/close the front door as quickly as required when you have a dog in the house, Sammy, at that particular time, is like a bolt of lightening.  I think he always believes he is going to miss something if he is not out there right in the middle of things...  If you would like to meet Sammy, please complete an Application of Interest.

FOSTER UPDATE:  At present Sammy is undergoing medical treatment for a hot spot that was discovered beneath his hair line; it appears that it has been in existence for an extensive period of time and rather than just treat the sore, it was determined that the best course of action was to both treat the sore and the underlying factors to its presence.  Therefore, Sammy's rear end has been complete shaved from his mid section just short of reaching his rib cage.  The entire area has been ex-foliated and is presently in the beginning stages of recovery and regrowth.  Although Sammy's condition is cosmetic, it has NOT impacted his outgoing personality in any way whatsoever.
